Born in the tiny victorian villiage of Ferndale, CA, nearly six hours north of San Francisco, I spent my early childhood climbing trees, catching snakes, and surrounded by dairy cows, followed by a move to the SF Bay Area when I was thirteen.
Two years as the photo editor for a nationally ranked high school yearbook gave me plenty of time to fully immerse myself in the world of black and white film, it's chemicals, and it's long hours in very dark rooms. After thirteen years working with film, I made the transition to digital in 2005.
After being sidetracked by design, IT, and four years teaching in Japan, I finally found my way home to photography. I relish the people, places, and excitement of weddings. Most importantly, I love producing something that I take a great deal of pride in, and that I know will be cherished by my clients for many generations to come.
Los Angeles may be where I receive my mail, but I consider the greater San Francisco areas to be part of my home base as well. Having worked from New York to New Delhi I am a world traveler at heart, and look forward to being a part of the most important day of your life.
